Interview with Ms. Maggie Tladi – Customs and Trade Facilitation Expert with TradeMark Southern Africa.

Ms. Tladi speaks on TMSA’s collaboration with the World Customs Organisation (WCO) East and Southern Africa (ESA) Region Office for Capacity Building (ROCB). TMSA and the WCO ESA ROCB Office are collaborating to improve customs capacity in the region in three main areas, namely:

(1) Support to countries to accede to the Revised Kyoto Convention;
(2) Creation of a blended learning model which includes development of an e-learning platform for customs “train the trainer” programmes, along with in-class training modules for customs capacity building, and
(3) Building a regional body of customs knowledge through research in support of regional trade facilitation programmes.
