Professionals in the generation, transmission and distribution fields will have the opportunity to receive training through a series of in-depth technical training workshops this year.

The workshops will be held at POWER-GEN Africa and DistribuTECH Africa at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 17 – 29 March. The free workshops aim to address local skills shortfalls and will be presented by selected experts. They are designed to offer training in the various generation, transmission and distribution fields.

Various topics including Ethernet basics, unified grid intelligence, lighting dissipation and cable fault location will be addressed.

In addition to these, optional extra WADE Africa Decentralised Energy workshops will be offered at a fee. These will focus on the promise of decentralised energy to light up Sub-Saharan Africa.
