South African companies in the automotive components sector seeking to attract foreign direct investment are invited to join the Department of Trade and Industry on an outward selling mission to Taiwan and Thailand.
The mission taking place between 28 July and 1 August 2014 is part of the Department’s objective to create market access for South African value-added products and services in new high-growth markets, and highlight South Africa as an investment destination of choice.The deadline for the submission of an Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) Outward Selling Missions application forms is 30 May 2014. The assistance is provided to qualifying South African exporters and investors to introduce South African products into foreign markets in a cost-effective manner. The Department will offer the following financial support to qualifying firms: (i) Economy class return airfare to a maximum of R17 000; (ii) Daily subsistence allowance of R2 300 per day; and (iii) Business-to-business meetings for participants.
