Transport operators can expect for possible traffic disruptions on Saturday 24 May on the N3 toll route at Mooi River.
Eskom will be carrying out essential maintenance work to an overhead power line crossing the N3 Toll Route, which requires lane closures (north- and southbound) for short periods while work is being undertaken. These temporary closures could disrupt traffic flow as vehicles will be stacked at road closure points for approximately 20 – 30 minutes at a time. Eskom’s maintenance activity will commence at 08h30 on Saturday morning and is expected to be completed just before 10h00 on the same day.All measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of road users and to limit any inconvenience. The Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) along with Mpofana Traffic will manage traffic accommodation during the closures and N3TC’s Route Services team will be on standby in the vicinity to provide assistance, if required.
Road users expecting to travel in this region on the 24th of May are advised to confirm the status of the maintenance work with N3TC’s 24-hour Customer Careline on 0800 N3 Help (0800 63 4357) or get real-time traffic updates by following N3TC on Twitter: @N3Route.
