Residents of Mashonamini near Mkhuhlu in the Bushbuckridge Municipality in northern Mpumalanga are threatening to embark on a strike soon.
The residents say that they have been without water for the past twenty years, despite the completion of the multi-billion rand Inyaka Dam water scheme. They allege that they have to share their water with livestock.
Resident Jonas Mbewe says the municipality is not taking them seriously and that they will embark on a strike.
