The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has launched the Agriculture and the Green Economy in South Africa: A CSIR Analysis report.

The report recognises the potential for an Agricultural Green Economy to flourish, given South Africa’s unique situation in regards to the country’s reliance on the Agricultural sector.

The report analyses the capacity of the agriculture sector to contribute to a green economy, focusing specifically on crop-based agriculture. In this video an SABC reporter speaks to Doctor Constantia Musvoto, and begins by asking her what the main pillars of this study were.
