The exhibition hosted by eThekwini Municipality, through the Imagine Durban Project, aims to showcase ways in which people can live a greener, more sustainable lifestyle. This unique, multifaceted event focuses on renewable energy and energy efficiency, waste minimisation, up-cycling and recycling, water harvesting and conservation, food security and greening, environmental advocacy, creative arts, health and wellbeing and social justice. “The exhibition provides a fantastic environment for sharing of ideas, peer learning, networking while demonstrating a possibility for everyone to contribute towards building a more livable, caring and sustainable community,” says Bongumusa Zondo, Senior Manager for eThekwini’s Long Term Planning. The exhibition has shown a steady increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors. It brings together all sectors in the greening industry under one roof, making it a one stop shop for people looking for that ideal solution to live more sustainable lifestyles – a solution that your business could offer.
The exhibition is a hub of innovation that provides inspiration and networking opportunities to those in the sustainability and greening industry. It is also the opportune platform to tap into new markets and explore other opportunities. Building a more sustainable City is a collective responsibility of all citizens. The exhibition is open to all sectors of society, including business, non-profit organisations, government, state owned enterprises, schools and individuals. The exhibition will take place at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 14 to 16 August 2015.
