Waste and Recycling from Italy

Rimini Fiera, organisers of the Ecomondo Exhibition in Italy, hosted three workshops on waste and recycling as part of Waste and Recycling Africa, one of the components of Indutec.

“We were surprised at the huge interest in the workshops as over 40 people attended on the first day,” said Alessandra Astolfi, Project Manager of Ecomondo.

“It was very encouraging to see people stay for the entire two-hour workshop and the question-and-answer session.”

Turkish Pumps on Demand

Turkish pump manufacturer Maxisu had great feedback on its line of submersible pumps.

“We were happy to be in South Africa and exhibit at this event, and it was great to see so many visitors interested in our products. We will definitely come again,” says Mustafa Yarcan, Sales Manager at Maxisu.

Information for Engineers

Bateman Watling and Associates, an information-based company, provides online knowledge databases to engineers on an annual subscription basis. “We had a great response from visitors and exhibitors,” said Sales Executive Justin Hoffman.

“To actually be able to demonstrate our information services to potential customers face-to-face was very good exposure for us. We also had the chance to speak to companies we’ve been trying to get on board before,” concluded Hoffman.

Augment Your Reality

Augmented Reality specialist Intellilab showed visitors and exhibitors how they can use augmented reality in their business.

“We had a great response, especially from engineering companies from across the country, and had a large amount of people who visited our stand,” said Dumisane Gumbi, a developer at Intellilab.

“I believe Indutec’s 12-show multi-sector format can play a constructive role in the ongoing implementation of the National Development Plan, expanding the country’s infrastructure, boosting South African industry and creating jobs into the future,” concludes show organiser John Thomson of Exhibition Management Services.
