The civil engineering industry will gather on 7 October 2015 for the 76th SAFCEC Annual Conference at The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay, Cape Town, under the theme “Ready to Deliver”
The focus of this year’s theme is on how industry can aid government to deliver their infrastructure projects, and the South African Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors has an exciting line up of speakers ready to engage conference goers on important issues currently facing the civil engineering industry. The master of ceremonies and programme director this year is Peter Ndoro a well-known radio and television presenter with more than two decades of experience as a broadcaster, both in television and radio. Ndoro is currently a current affairs anchor/producer for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the Business and Economics anchor on the daily breakfast news programme ‘Morning Live’.The keynote address will be given by Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe . He holds a B.Juris degree from the University of Zululand obtained in 1976; LLM in International Law from Leipzig University obtained in 1981 and studied at the Lenin International School, Moscow in 1985.
Among other achievements, Radebe received an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters by the Chicago State University in 1996, and Leucospermum flower named Radebe Sunrise was bestowed in him on 23 October 2005.
