The NAXCO Group has announced that Africamar Shipping & Logistics has opened six joint-ventures with its partners in West Africa: Benin, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.
Africamar was founded in 2012 as the new alternative in shipping and logistics services in Africa. As an extension of its own set up in North Africa since 2008, NAXCO Group created this network with BUDD and the GATO Groups. Those joint-ventures, established this year, cover global ship and liner agencies, projects and logistics services. They give the opportunity to combine experience and expertise to better serve clients’ interests in terms of offerings, ethics, entrepreneurial ambitions and corporate values.“The time was right for Africamar Shipping & Logistics to finally establish its own presence in some of the African countries to offer a new alternative and develop its services,” Â saysPhilippe Delaporte, Africamar Shipping and Logistics network manager.
This strategic expansion places the company in a position to strengthen its existing operations and relationships with partners in that region. In addition to the six joint-ventures, NAXCO Group operates in the Africa markets in Algeria, Morocco and Egypt and via Africamar Shipping & Logistics in Angola, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and Guinea.
