Life cycle of PET plastics | Infrastructure news

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the type of plastic, identifiable by the ‘1’ code usually on the bottom of the product, used to make rigid packaging, including bottles. It is completely recyclable and completely safe.

The following video, produced by PETCO (the PET Plastic Recycling Company), describes how PET is recycled and how this positively impacts South Africa;s quest to divert waste from landfill.
