Residents of Koukamma municipality in the Eastern Cape are battling with water shortages and are forced to buy drinking water.
This is due to the local Jourbetina Dam that is almost dry and the ageing infrastructure that leaks water.
The little water currently available to residents is unsuitable for drinking.
