The Department of Home Affairs has advised travellers to continue using the Platjan port of entry as the Zanzibar port of entry remains closed due to water flowing over the bridge.
The Zanzibar port of entry – the border post on the Botswana side from South Africa between Alldays and Selebi Pikwi on the Limpopo River – was closed at the weekend after the Limpopo river overflowed. The Department of Home Affairs says it will make an announcement once the situation at the port has changed.
