4th Going Green Conference (GGC2016) | Infrastructure news

The Green Building Design Group brings you the 4th consecutive Going Green Conference (GGC2016) which will be hosted in Johannesburg at the Monte Casino Southern Sun Hotel from the 18th to the 20th October 2016.

The Going Green Conferences (GGCs) started as the “Going Green in Public Health Facilities” conference in Cape Town, South Africa as a platform to enable built environment experts to discuss practical green design solutions within the public health sector’s infrastructural services and maintenance departments. The GGCs have evolved to focus on the broader infrastructural portfolio that comprises education, health and general facilities. The GGC delegates comprise a wide variety of built environment experts from the private and public sectors in South Africa.

Update from the conference organiser:

  • We have successfully partnered with BIM institute as we both share the same ideas with respect to the need of knowledge sharing and transfer of skills about Going Green between the private, public and students. For more info about BIM institute, visit their website:  biminstitute.org.za;
  • We have successfully managed to have media partners on board: 3smedia Publishes, website: www.3smedia.co.za, and Young Africa Publishing,  website: youngafrica.co.za;
  • The University of Johannesburg hosted the ISOVER Saint-Gobain Multi-Comfort Housing International Student Competition National Stage and they will be presenting their successful project to reach 2nd out of 54 finalists from 23 countries.  The good news is that it was the first time Africa had been represented.
