Members of the Southern African Development Community met in Swaziland to discuss the development of sustainable energy infrastructure. The new SADC chairman, Swaziland’s King Mswati-the-third, noted that the current drought, coupled with a lack of financial resources is affecting energy supply in sub-Saharan Africa.
