Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) has appointed Nadia Trimmel as the Vice-President of Mercedes-Benz Vans Southern Africa.

In 2014, Trimmel joined MBSA as the National Sales Manager (Vehicles Sales and Aftersales), bringing a new dimension of inspired leadership and competence, the company said.

Some of her key responsibilities included the development and implementation of an effective van sales and aftersales strategy for the brand. This focused on spearheading a number of key strategic initiatives, as well as the management of key dealer performance areas to ensure targets were met in terms of sales performance, financial performance, the drive of the sales and aftersales fleet business, forecasting and sales planning.

She was also a strategic partner to the dealer network across all aspects, including marketing, sales and aftersales. MBSA said “Trimmel has built and maintained strong dealer and customer alliances through regular communication and engagement.”

Trimmel will assume the position on 1 January 2017. She will be the successor to Nicolette Lambrechts, who will be moving to Mercedes-Benz Vans in Canada.

Nicolette Lambrechts, vice-president of Mercedes-Benz Vans Southern Africa said that “Nadia (Trimmel) is a proven expert in the light commercial vehicle business, and especially in the vans segment. Since her appointment with MBSA two years ago, she has overseen the sales division with great success. She has also played a major role in other departments of the vans division, making her the ideal candidate to assume this role. I have no doubt that Mercedes-Benz Vans Southern Africa will continue in the right direction under her leadership.”
