The City of Cape Town recently released a list of the city’s highest water users. One of the highest water using streets revealed was Haywood Road in Crawford where one resident in particular received an exorbitant water bill of R119,000.
The owner said the high water consumption was not his fault.
The city only has 121 days of usable water left and is cracking down on the unusual usage of drinking water.
