Prasa welcomes new acting CEO | Infrastructure news

The Passenger Rail Agency (Prasa) has appointed Cromet Molepo as the new acting group CEO with immediate effect. 

Prasa announced that Molepo would relieve current acting group CEO Lindikaya Zide, whose acting period has expired, on Wednesday 7 December 2017.

Molepo, who is the current CEO at Intersite, a Prasa subsidiary, has extensive experience in a number of industries in both the private and public sectors including property, energy, transport, water housing, finance and consulting.

His formal qualifications cover economic science, civil engineering and leadership and according to Prasa he has participated in a number of national initiatives which include procurement reform for local government transformation, housing reform, electricity supply industry transformation, National Property Assessment Register on behalf of the Department of Public Works and the Science and Technology.

Molepo was also an advisor to the Minister of Public Works from 1995 to 1999.

“The Interim Chairperson of the PRASA Board, Advocate T.A.N.Makhubele would like to welcome Mr Molepo as Acting Group CEO at PRASA and thanks Lindikaya Zide for his contribution and his stewardship during this difficult period.  Advocate Makhubele expressed her full confidence in Molepo and encouraged the executives to support Molepo,” Prasa said in a statement.
