The Central Karoo town of Beaufort West has been thrown a life line after a new water source was found that will provide water to residents over the next four years.

The town was fast approaching the dreaded day zero as the local Gamka dam dried up weeks ago and boreholes were running dry Relief organisation, Gift of the Givers, drilled five new boreholes which is now churning out over a million liters of water per day.
