Residents and stakeholders of Mthaleni village and surrounding areas in the Eastern Cape are seeking clarity on a R200 million rand road upgrade project. It’s reported the amount was approved by the Provincial Roads and Public Works Department in 2009. The plan was to build a 26 kilometre stretch. The building of this road has now been moved to the Department of Transport and the project remains incomplete.
