The KwaZulu-Natal Landfill and Waste Treatment Interest Group has been hard at work putting together an enticing programme for the Landfill and Waste Treatment 2025 Conference and Exhibition, taking place on 22-24 October 2025 at Riverside Hotel, Durban. The programme features a number of individual presentations ranging from options to divert waste from landfill, to landfill barrier design, to the management of emissions from landfill sites.

The programme includes a panel discussion facilitated by the South African chapter of the International

Geosynthetics Society on the topic of “CQA: Because Good Construction Doesn’t Happen by Chance”, which will serve as an effective introduction to CQA for various stakeholders involved in waste containment and related geosynthetics applications. Also, the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) will host an information session on the Identification of Engineering Work (IDoEW) implementation.

Landfill and Waste Treatment 2025 is a premier event for those involved with waste disposal by landfill, as well as waste treatment technologies.
