The Association of Water and Sanitation Institutions of South Africa, AWSISA, Africa & Global South Water and Sanitation Dialogue 2025 - Infrastructure news

The overarching topic for this year is “Towards Sustainable Water and Sanitation Security in Africa”. The theme speaks to the urgent need for long-term, inclusive solutions. Attendees will get front-row access to panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking sessions geared toward driving meaningful progress in water access and sanitation infrastructure. “This Dialogue is not just another event, it’s a space where ideas meet action,” says AWSISA Chairperson of the Board, Mr. Ramateu Monyokolo. Water and sanitation are fundamental human rights that underpin health, dignity, and development.

The event structure includes multiple opportunities for engagement, whether through dialogue sessions and workshops as well as networking spaces. Attendees will have the chance to learn from sector leaders about what’s working in water and sanitation, gaining valuable insights into innovative approaches and real-world solutions.

  • Finnish Water Forum — Finnish Water Forum brings Finnish clean water innovation to the Dialogue. They promote knowledge sharing and international collaboration
  • Sweden GWO — GWO represents Swedish water and governance expertise. At AWSISA, they present Nordic models of innovation, sustainability, and public private partnerships.
  • EWSETA Stand — EWSETA (Energy & Water Sector Education and Training Authority) supports workforce development in the water and energy sectors. At AWSISA, they showcase skills programs, bursaries, and partnerships with employers.
