The transformation of South Africa’s water sector remains a key priority for the Water Research Commission (WRC). Through targeted initiatives, funding programmes, and strategic partnerships, the WRC continues to support the development and advancement of historically disadvantaged individuals, including women, youth, and persons living with disabilities.
As part of its commitment to building the next generation of water leaders, the WRC actively creates opportunities for students and young water professionals to engage in meaningful water sector conversations, contribute innovative ideas, and help address South Africa’s pressing water challenges. In support of this commitment, the WRC will be offering a limited number of complimentary registrations to deserving students and young water professionals to attend the WISA 2026 Biennial Conference, taking place from 22 – 24 July 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town.
