OMSA supplies industrial water filters to Bloemfontein water supplier | Infrastructure news

The need for water supplies to be efficiently managed and operated has never been as important as it currently is when one looks at the amount of contaminated water reports being lodged with municipalities or water management suppliers.

New feed water supply pump systems have recently been installed in Bloemfontein’s local water supplier’s facilities and have Mahle water filtration systems, from OMSA, included in the water quality processes. The Mahle water filters are automated, used to prime and lubricate the water feed pumps,  with a backflushself cleaning mechanism which ensures that the water that is supplied is clean water and eradicates the risk of contamination, which may damage the water pump mechanicals.

Xen Papastamopoulos, Technical Manager at OMSA  commented “We were very pleased to have received the order for a duplex water filtration system – one duty and one stand-by unit,  replacing the existing bulk sand filter system. The efficiencies that water operators can achieve by using these Mahle fully automated filtration systems are enormous. They require less maintanence, are less labour intensivehave the latest technology and are more compact”.
