4000 workers from the City of Johannesburg’s Refuse Removal agency Pikitup have been found guilty of participating in an unprotected work stoppage.

They went through disciplinary hearings last week. The City of Johannesburg is now waiting for recommendations on sanctions against the employees.

The City also announced today that it CANNOT afford the 10-thousand rand wage demands.
