Entries are open for the IMESA Excellence Awards.

The Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) in collaboration with the Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) are inviting local, provincial and government / semi-government authorities and their engineering consultants to submit entries for the 2016 Biennial Project Excellence Awards Competition.

Projects completed by 30 June 2016 in any of the following categories will be accepted for the awards:

• Structures and buildings
• Water / wastewater
• Roads / stormwater
• Environmental
• Community upliftment

The Excellence Awards give recognition to well-engineered civil engineering projects for infrastructure.

Entrants must portray the art and science of civil engineering for infrastructure to the general public and indicate how the profession finds answers to challenges. The project must be in Southern Africa.

Winners will be announced at the IMESA Conference Opening Function to be held at the East London ICC on 25 October 2016.
