Founder of the All Women Recycling programme, Lynn Worsley, discusses how plastic bottles are upcycled using recycled plastic bottles which they buy from dumps.

“I try to create a value chain where the entire community benefits,” Worsley says.

Anton Ressel from Fetola, a South African enterprise development specialist consultancy, says that women from poorer communities have fewer growth and career opportunities and notes that Worsley’s work really tries to assist the communities that poorer women in her programme come from.

Worsley highlights the processes that take place to create new objects from the plastic bottles and also explains the programme’s environmental objectives.
