Residents in northern KwaZulu-Natal are battling with the severe effects of the drought. The township of Bhekuzulu is sharing one borehole which often means that residents have to collect their share of water at 01:00am or else they don’t get any at all.
“People are fighting for water,” says a local man.The town’s residents are also often dealing with poor quality water, which leads to many children falling ill.
