At the eighth FESARTA (Federation of East and Southern African Transport Associations) AGM held in Johannesburg, Gavin Kelly was appointed as the new chairman along with Brian Shone as the vice-chairman.

Kelly is the technical and operations manager at the Road Freight Association and has his finger on the pulse of matters affecting road transport operators in both South and East Africa.

Shone, apart from being MD at Kasembo Transport limited in Zambia is actively involved with the Federation of Zambian Road Hauliers.
