MBSA is optimistic about returning to Automechanika Johannesburg to promote its After-Sales customer support initiative.

Hans Roos, MBSA’s divisional parts manager says, “We enjoyed many benefits from our involvement in this event two years ago and that is why we are back at the 2013 edition of this world-renowned trade fair for the automotive aftermarket.”

“In 2011 Automechanika Johannesburg provided the ideal launch pad for our Remanufactured Genuine Parts programme, which is proving a big success. The number of products in our remanufactured range has grown from 135 items in 2011 to 491 in 2013 and the range now includes parts for Mercedes-Benz trucksinclusive of Freightliner and Fuso trucks and Detroit Diesel engines.”

Mercedes-Benz Remanufactured Genuine Parts represent an economical, environmentally compatible alternative. Since remanufactured parts do not have to be produced from scratch, less energy is required. Recycling used parts also saves on valuable raw materials and reduces emissions.

The two major benefits of remanufacturing a part, which is carried out by the original supplier are the positive contribution from an environmental impact point of view and the cost saving advantage for the customer. The usage of the original Mercedes-Benz core contributes up to an 80% saving in material and a 90% saving in energy, while the customer receives payment for returned core.

The MBSA after sales team will make use of the display for relationship building with dealers and customers, including a meeting on the stand of the National dealer Forum.

Automechanika Johannesburg takes place at Expo Centre from May 8-11.
