Aurecon has once again excelled in the national survey of consulting engineers undertaken by the management journal Professional Management Review Africa (PMR.africa). The group achieved six awards in their respective consulting engineering sectors, three of which were Diamond Arrow Awards – which signifies ‘highest rated in sector’.
In determining the awards, PMR.africa conducted 130 interviews to obtain the opinions of key decision makers and professionals in South Africa’s built environment, including architects, contractors, developers and quantity surveyors. The interviews sought to obtain ranked perceptions of a company’s performance across 14 attributes. For 2013, these were: Black Economic Empowerment; Capacity to understand projects; Competitive pricing; Expertise/knowledge; Problem solving; Quality management system; Reliability; Reputation (perception of the company’s brand, integrity and Corporate Social Responsibility); Resources; Responsiveness, Skills and qualifications of personnel; Technical competence; Timeous completion; and Understanding and commitment to the clients’ interests. According to this survey, Aurecon will receive the following awards: • Diamond Arrow Awards (Highest rated in sector) will be received for the following sectors (400+ employees) Electrical consulting engineers Mechanical consulting engineersCombined electrical and mechanical consulting engineers
