Traffic delays expected on N3 Toll Route | Infrastructure news

Transport operators whose trucks are heading towards Pietermartizburg along the N3 on Saturday 22 February can expect traffic disruptions in the vicinity of Mooi River.

This is due to Eskom is carrying out essential maintenance work to an overhead power line.

Two road closures can be expected, with the first occurring at approximately 08h30, which may take between 15 and 30 minutes. Traffic will be allowed to flow freely while preparation is underway for the second closure when the overhead line will be taken across the highway.

All measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of road users and to limit any inconvenience. Mpofana Traffic, along with RTI will manage traffic accommodation during the closures and N3TC’s Route Services team will furthermore be on standby in the vicinity to provide assistance, if required.

For further information and traffic updates along this route road users can call the N3TC’s 24-hour customer careline on 0800 N3 Help (0800 63 4357) or get  real-time traffic updates by following N3TC on Twitter: @N3Route.
