A new R45 million UD Truck dealership has opened in KwaZulu-Natal. The new Combined Motor Holdings (CMH) facility in Pinetown offers UD Trucks customers in the region a proverbial one-stop-shop with complete sales, service, parts and finance support.

Ron Byng, dealer principal of CMH Commercial UD Trucks, says, “We aim to provide customer satisfaction in all aspects of business and create a pleasant and challenging working environment for all our employees, as well as develop a trustworthy and strong relationship with both our shareholders and suppliers. We believe that this new facility will enable us to provide even better and more flexible support to our customers.”

UD Trucks and CMH have a relationship that spans more than 35 years, with UD being one of the company’s first franchises.

“We believe that UD Trucks offers truck owners a variety of applications, dependability, quality and cost effectiveness, no matter the size of their fleet. UD Trucks is a winning brand on all fronts. In addition, the people behind the brand are passionate and professional, supporting us every step of the way.”

Jacques Carelse, managing director of UD Trucks Southern Africa said this new facility is a true testimony of CMH’s commitment and faith in the UD Trucks brand.

States Carelse, “During the next few years, UD Trucks will be launching a number of new game-changing products and services. We are very excited about the future of the brand in the country and with the support provided by CMH in the region, we know our customers will reap the benefits in their businesses.”

“As a manufacturer, with a local presence of more than 52 years, we are extremely privileged to have a dealer group of CMH’s calibre as not just part of our dealer network, but also our dealer council. We greatly value their input, expertise and industry knowledge and we believe that they are outstanding ambassadors of the UD Trucks brand.”

The new CMH UD Trucks dealership features a number of in-house services, including brake roller and brake testing equipment, roadworthy testing, vehicle financing, maintenance contracts and transport consultancy services. Other services customers can also depend on are 24-hour roadside assistance, an express service and maintenance bay, as well as after-hours servicing.

Adds Carelse, “UD Trucks is constantly developing, strengthening and training its already comprehensive regional dealer network. The 65 UD Trucks dealers across southern and eastern Africa are always ready to support customers with manufacturer-endorsed sales, service, parts, as well as financial and fleet solutions.”

Represented all along the major routes and trade corridors across the region, UD Trucks Southern Africa is able to provide a speedy response, knowledgeable technical advice and service, as well as ultimately dependable trucks that get the job done.
