Convention to clarify traffic Act amendments | Infrastructure news

Described as “vague”, “unclear” and “unenforceable”, the recently implemented Consignor/Consignee legislation has created uncertainty and confusion in the road freight industry.

The recently amended National Road Traffic Regulations Act now require that those transporting goods be in possession of a written declaration containing the nature of the goods transported, the particulars of every consignor and consignee and compulsory insurance on the goods.

Join a diverse panel of experts, including Fred Abrams, account manager: Price Forbes, the RFA’s Kevin van der Merwe, Lamb and Hugo Pienaar from Cliffe Dekker Incorporated at RFA Convention 2015 as they explore the challenges and implications of this legislation.
