Two new Kinshasa Engen service stations are set to bolster the company’s retail network in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The first station is on course to open in December this year and the other, located in Tourisme, should follow in January 2016. The latter will retail petrol and diesel products and include a convenience store.

The company is also planning to construct a truck stop for long hauliers in the country at a location yet to be confirmed.

Engen says stringent environmental and regulatory requirements, finding suitable sites and finalising the necessary approvals made the DRC expansion drive challenging.
