Conference seeks trucking industry solutions | Infrastructure news

TruckX 2016 will attempt to provide valuable insights to fleet owners and operators through dialogue between industry experts during the daylong event and exhibition in August.

Among the speakers are economist Dawie Roodt, Outa chairman Wayne Duvenage and CEO of RAC Group, Eugene Herbert. Comedian Joey Rasdien, as Master of Ceremonies, should help lighten the mood, while the exhibition gives fleet owners the chance to engage with industry suppliers directly.

Panelists are set to analyse local and global industry trends over the last three decades, consider how the industry has or hasn’t transformed and gaze into a crystal ball. In-depth discussions on the effects of the current economic climate, as well as truck driver safety, will also predominate.

“In the transport world, turnaround time is everything, and as such we appreciate the fact that fleet owners will take time out of their busy schedule to attend this event. Our goal is to provide insightful and relevant information that will add significant value to their day-to-day operations,” says Hein Jordt, MD of co-sponsor Ctrack’s Fleet Management Solutions.

The event takes place on Tuesday, 2 August 2016 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
