Ekurhuleni Mayor Mzwandile Masina has rubbished claims that his administration bungled a tender to install toilets. The three-year tender was meant to provide infrastructure to informal settlements. An investigative report by AmaBhungane claimed that the metro spent R1.9 billion on portable toilets.
