Water sector leaders, investors and industry stakeholders will have an opportunity to connect around a shared commitment to water security and climate resilience at the AWSISA Golf Challenge on Sunday, 22 November 2026, at the Royal Durban Golf Club in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Held under the theme “Driving Partnerships for Water Security and Climate Resilience”, the event will serve as the opening activity of the 2nd AWSISA Africa & Global South Water and Sanitation Dialogue, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support practical solutions to water challenges across rural communities.

Beyond networking and friendly competition, the Golf Challenge will contribute directly to improving access to water in underserved areas. Proceeds from the event aim to raise more than R100,000 towards rural community borehole initiatives, helping to expand access to reliable water supplies where they are needed most.

The event will follow a Four-Ball Better-Ball Stableford format, with registration costing R1,300 per player. Participants will receive player packs, early morning refreshments, halfway house vouchers and access to the prize-giving function, as well as complimentary tickets to the AWSISA Exhibition.

Corporate partners and industry stakeholders will also have the opportunity to support the initiative through sponsorship packages, providing a platform to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable water management, community development and climate resilience.

By combining industry engagement with a tangible community benefit, the AWSISA Golf Challenge aims to demonstrate the role that collaboration between the public and private sectors, investors and other stakeholders can play in addressing water security challenges.
