Role Information
- Job title: Power BI / Power Platform Developer and Data Analyst
- Reference: TA01-2026
- Job purpose: Join our team and play a key role transforming data into actionable business intelligence. In this role, you’ll design and deliver impactful business intelligence solutions, including interactive Power BI dashboards, automated workflows, and low-code applications using Microsoft’s Power Platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams, operational staff, laboratories, and clients, you’ll transform complex operational and environmental data into actionable insights. You’ll also play a key role in enhancing our SaaS water optimization platform, TalbotAnalytics, and advancing internal digital systems.
- Location: Hybrid (Remote with travel to Talbot offices in Durban or Johannesburg)
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) preferred.
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, Paginated Reports and Power BI Service.
- Experience developing low-code solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with SQL databases, including querying, data transformation, and data modelling.
- Experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience interacting with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams.
