Kenya has laid the foundation stone for it’s new railway transport system. The 1.3 trillion shillings ultra-modern railway network, will originate in Mombasa and travel 500km to Nairobi in its first phase. It will then be rolled out to other major towns in the region, with infrastructure experts estimating the cost of cargo transport to reduce by 60% on completion of the project.
