ACSA - Fundiswa Sithebe

Airports Company South Africa has appointed Fundi Sithebe to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer from 1 December 2017

Fundi Sithebe has been appointed as the chief operating officer (COO) of Airports Company South Africa (ACSA). Sithebe is expected to assume the role of COO from 1 December 2017.

According to ACSA CEO Bongani Maseko, the Sithebe’s appointment in this role is pivotal in achieving the company’s 2025 strategy.

Sithebe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Midrand University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Administration) from Wits Business School. She has a wealth of experience which includes companies such as Deloitte Consulting and FirstRand/FNB Africa. Sithebe is currently the chief of staff reporting to Maseko.

“She brings valuable capabilities in strategy formulation and implementation, research and analysis, project management and due diligence. Fundi played a significant role as the protocol lead during the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup,” Maseko explains.

Commenting on her appointment Sithebe says she is humbled to resume the role of COO and she will endeavour to create a sustainable legacy for the Company and South Africa.

“I have been with the company for several years and I am privileged to be working with supportive and experienced colleagues and I believe that working together we will achieve the Company’s strategic goals.”
