PPC has been selected as the winner of the Diversity in the Workplace award at this year’s National Business Awards.
The National Business Awards, which are hosted in collaboration with the ‘Top Performing Companies’ publication, is a prestigious event in which inspirational business leaders from various industries are celebrated for their outstanding performance in the world of business and government. “PPC Limited was a big presence at the 12th Annual National Business Awards. They qualified as finalists in no less than four award categories, including the Corporate Citizenship Award, Innovation through Technology Award, Diversity in the Workplace Award, and the headline National Business of the Year Award,” advised Topco Media Group Editor, Nick Krige. “In the end the company deservedly walked away with the Diversity in the Workplace Award. The judges of the category were particularly impressed with PPC having established transformation, diversity, and social upliftment as key priorities within the organisation, the fact the company had developed its own set of employment equity targets, and the ongoing good work of the PPC Women’s Forum,” concluded Krige.PPC CSI manager, Francie Shonhiwa thankfully reflects on the achievement saying, “We are privileged to be recognised as winner of the Diversity in the Workplace award, as it motivates us to continue driving transformation at every level.”
“PPC is honoured to be acknowledged for their involvement and dedication to driving Diversity in the workplace. To be nominated together with some of the top performing businesses in the country is an honour and a strong validation of our efforts and contributions.” “The PPC Women’s Forum remains committed to attracting, embracing and advancing female talent to effectively lead the company, encouraging creativity and innovation. Ensuring workforce diversity and providing equal opportunity in the workplace remains a key priority for PPC,” concludes Shonhiwa.
