3S Media joins the line-up of excellence at this year’s CESA Aon Excellence Awards | Infrastructure news

3S Media congratulates all the winners and commended entries, all of whom showcased true project and leadership excellence at the CESA Aon Excellence Awards.

“We have had a long and highly productive association with Consulting Engineers Southern Africa, and many of its member companies,” said Elizabeth Shorten, managing director and publisher at 3S Media.

Speaking after the awards, held at VodaWorld in Midrand, Gauteng, Shorten joined the winners when 3S Media was announced as the winner of ‘Best Publisher of the Year Award’.

“Every year, the CESA Aon Excellence Awards remind us that South Africa holds its own when it comes to engineering,” said Shorten. “This year was no exception, and it was gratifying to see so many of our valued clients being recognised for their truly world-class projects.” The projects entered are among the most complex and sophisticated endeavours to manage, from both a technical and a business point of view.

Title sponsors, Aon South Africa, are the ideal partner to CESA on these awards; their specialist Construction and Engineering Division not only identifies risks for engineers, they prevent risks from arising in the first place.

By minimising losses and ensuring that the business of engineering and construction runs smoothly, their proactive approach to risk improvement frees up technical professionals in the sector to strive for the excellence being honoured at the awards.

“We are very honoured to have been recognised by the Consulting Engineering sector this year, and we thank CESA and Aon for this prestigious award,” said Shorten.

“It was a pleasure to receive this award from CESA President Abe Thela, who has been such an inspiration throughout his term; his successor has big shoes to fill!” she concluded.
