Water department’s new director-general brings 'wealth of experience' | Infrastructure news

Water_drop_impact_on_a_water-surface_-_(1)Dan Metlana Mashitisho has taken over the position of director-general at the Department of Water and Sanitation.

Mashitisho assumed his position on 3 January 2017.

The department described him as “a seasoned administrator” and added that he “brings a wealth of experience in senior management, particularly in the public sector”.

The department’s minister, Nomvula Mokonyane, said she was “confident in his capabilities”.

“We wish him well in his new role and we are confident that he will continue the efforts towards good governance and improved access to water and dignified sanitation,” she said.

Mashitisho’s was previously city manager at the Mogale City Municipality for almost 11 years and also held the same position at Merafong Local Municipality.
