After much hype around Mercedes-Benz’s new double cab, its new X-Class bakkie has finally been unveiled. The vehicle is the first of its brand and will be introduced to the South African market early next year. The German carmaker held the launch in Cape Town. It announced that the bakkie will boast different engines, including a V6 turbo diesel, when it reaches the local market. However, vehicle prices were not disclosed. In Germany the entry-level price will be equivalent to R555,000.
