The JRA board will be advertising the position of managing director as soon as possible. In ensuring managerial commitments are met, JRA Chief Financial Officer Goodwill Mbatha has been appointed as the acting managing director with immediate effect. The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has announced that Dr Sean Phillips resigned as managing director of the organisation with effect from 8 August 2017. JRA executive management and board expressed their appreciation for Phillips’ leadership and contribution since his appointment on 1 May 2016. “Dr Phillips is an exceptional civil engineering professional with strong performance monitoring and evaluation experience at both national and municipal levels coupled with operational management expertise within local roads authorities,” the JRA said in a statement.
