Zimbabwe’s struggling airline is set to resume local and international flights as to avoid a ban by the global air transport group.
Air Zimbabwe was faced with a lot of hardships this year as a result of striking staff members, unpaid debts and the seizure of one of their airlines in London. The same airline was also banned to operate by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) after failing to comply with global safety standards.Air Zim could possibly be banned from using international airports and airspaces should they not comply with IATA’s international standards by November 31st.
There have already been efforts made to beat the deadline with the purchase of two new airbus aircrafts which will service its regional and international routes.
