According to an airport service quality survey by the Airports Council International (ACI), the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Kenya has been rated as the fifth best on the African continent.
This ratingĀ is concluded from a series of customer experience inquiries from more than 300 airports around the world by the ACI which showed that JKIA’s services were among the best in the region. Kenya Airports Authority managing director Lucy Mbugua welcomed the award saying it comes at the right time when the airport is undergoing major upgrades to improve efficiency.She cited the opening of Terminal I and the ongoing construction of Terminal II which is set to be opened later this month and expected to boost passenger capacity by 2.5 million to 7.5 million annually.
