K’enyuka’s new Richards Bay branch holds promise | Infrastructure news

Engineering and project management services company, K’Enyuka has opened a branch in Richards Bay aimed at strengthening its local service capabilities, facilitating easy access to new project work and delivering on its business strategy to partner closely with clients.

“The establishment of a local branch enables us to build new relationships while providing our current client base with quick and effective service delivery. We are working with one of the larger mining companies in the Richards Bay region at present. It will also further enhance our reputation for cost leadership,” says K’Enyuka business development manager, Trevor Anderson.

K’Enyuka specialises in providing engineering and management services to the hydro-pyro metallurgical, mineral processing and chemical industries, as well as industrial plant and commercial building services.  It employs a team of engineers who has been involved in some of the largest heavy minerals concentrator plants in the world.

K’Enyuka’s Richards Bay branch capabilities have been enhanced through the requisite support from its Johannesburg head office. “This removes many of the traditional challenges associated with local or remote branches. Technical support and communication occur seamlessly and in real time with the incorporation of state of the art technology,” Anderson continues.

According to Anderson, Richards Bay is a key growth area for the company with one of South Africa’s largest ports undergoing expansion. “Our local establishment enables us to tap into this industry.”

K’Enyuka’s expertise and focus extends beyond coal-related work however. “Our client base and expertise in the area, and across South Africa, is diverse. We can tackle a variety of applications across multiple industries including pulp and paper, sugar, agriculture and infrastructure.”

In addition to the new Richards Bay branch and the Johannesburg office, K’Enyuka has a regional office in Rustenburg, which was established in late 2008. This local presence has reaped major benefits for the company ever since having strengthened and developed its platinum group metals offering on the Western Limb in particular.

K’Enyuka recently completed an internal restructure channelling its focus into the three key areas of engineering, project management and project services. This development dovetails with the recent formal consolidation of skills among the linked enterprises associated with Read, Swatman & Voigt (RSV) (Pty) Ltd, to create the “RSV Group”. All enterprises linked to RSV — including K’Enyuka — are now able to draw from one another’s capabilities, building on a common high value brand.
