Johannesburg Water is attending to the burst pipe at the corner of Dale Lace Avenue and Knoppiesdoring Street, Randpark Ridge.

In order to expedite the repairs and reduce prolonged water outages, Johannesburg Water has opted to use the services of an external service provider.

Due to the interconnection in the water supply system, three major reservoirs have been isolated to minimise backflow into the excavated trench.

Affected Reservoirs/Areas:

Olivedale Reservoir, Boschkop Reservoir and Honeydew Reservoir.

Alternative Water Supply:

Alternative water will continue to be provided to the affected areas until repairs are completed. Water tankers are available at the following locations:

• Sharrow Road, Boskruin
• Corner Panther Road and Boschkop Avenue, Boskruin
• Corner Soetdoring Street and Yellowwood Street, Randpark Ridge
• Corner Scott Avenue and Dale Lace Roads, Randpark Ridge

Estimated restoration time: 03:00 on 20 August 2026.
